About the trainer

Hi, I'm Josh Kang.

Training alert dogs started as a calling and grew into the work I care about most. I focus on alert specialties because the stakes are real: a well-trained dog can catch a drop, an allergen, or a rising panic attack before it takes over someone's day.

I work one-on-one with handlers using patient, reward-based methods. No shortcuts, no harsh corrections, just clear communication, steady repetition, and dogs that genuinely love the work. I serve handlers across the San Francisco Bay Area.

Handlers who trust their dogs

A few notes from people whose dogs now alert them every day.

"Josh trained our golden to alert on my daughter's blood sugar, and she's woken us up before her CGM even went off. I cannot put a price on that peace of mind. His patience with both the dog and our whole family was incredible."

"I've worked with trainers before, but no one explained the 'why' like Josh did. My PTSD alert dog now interrupts my panic attacks before they spiral. I genuinely appreciate how much he cared about getting it right for me."

"Our son has a severe peanut allergy, and the allergen-detection work Josh did with our lab has been life-changing. Reliable, kind, and so good with the dog. We recommend him to everyone who asks."
